What is tri states monument?

The Tri-State Monument, also known as the Tri-State Marker or the Tri-Point Monument, marks the point where the borders of three states in the United States meet – Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. It is located on the top of a hill in a remote area in the eastern corner of Wyoming, near the intersection of State Highway 71 and US Route 30. The monument was erected in 1941 by the respective state officials to signify the exact location of the tri-state border. The monument consists of a granite shaft with a brass cap that denotes the state borders. The monument is often visited by tourists because of its unique location, rare geographical phenomenon, and historical significance. It is not accessible by road and requires a short hike to reach it.
